My Name is Alison Reynolds, I am the lead photographer and owner of Glitter Lens Photography. I have been a photographer for 14 years and counting, I began my photography journey just out of high school. I was a professional race car driver and started taking photos of others on the race track. In 2010, I moved to Mooresville, NC, and got the opportunity to travel with NASCAR as a photographer for Action Sports Photography.

It was during this time that I coined the name Glitter Lens Girl. As a joke, I (super tomboy) decorated my lens hoods with glitter and rhinestones in an attempt to gain the attention of the drivers when all the photographers were corralled to a single area. To my surprise, it worked. I got genuine smiles, laughs, and even some sales because people didn't know anyone's name, but remembered the lens. At that point, I decided to rebrand my business as Glitter Lens Photography!

In 2017 after the birth of my son, I decided to travel no longer and turn my focus to family photography. I loved the creativity of making sets and photos for parents to treasure

In 2019, I realized that I was truly letting my clients down, by only offering digital files I was leaving them with the headache of commissioning their prints (if they even got around to it) and many ended up with low-quality Shutterfly or worse, Walgreens prints around their house. I would get calls about how images looked pink or green when printed, pixelated, washed out, and faded in the sun. That is when I decided to change my entire business model. I spent all of 2019 sourcing the BEST quality prints and products from labs around the world. Now when you book a session with me you not only receive beautiful images, but I help you create a completed look for your home with heirloom museum-grade prints that will last hundreds of years so they can be passed down through the generations.
